Museum Opening
Yesterday we had the opening of the Miyagawa cho museum along with the presentation of L$1000 to Liang Scorpio, who won the competition with her entry of Ikebana display and Tea room.
As part of the opening celebration, Okaasan Kikuyu and Maiko Kikutsuru performed a summer dance
The Museum is now open to the public and can be found on the East side of the Matsubara bridge.
Various rooms depicting the history of Geisha and Oiran, a Shinto shrine, Kimono room, Tea Ceremony, Ikebana and Kaburenjo. Each room has pictures on the walls with informational note cards.

Rowing Boats at Miyagawacho
We have some excellent rowing boats at Miya now. You can row all the
way around the sim, in an out of the wedded rocks, past the torii gate,
view the shrine from the sea and tootle around and down the Kamo river.
You can even read a book or fish while your partner rows hee hee
